Health and Welfare  Boarding your pet is the best alternative for care of your pet in your absence. The selection of this temporary home is an important decision. Holiday Pet Hotel strives to provide your companion, at any stage of life, an environment that greatly exceeds basic necessities. You can board your pet for just a day or for a month or more. We offer large discounts for multiple dogs and cats sharing the same accommodations. At Holiday, we are always here when you need us! Your pet’s well-being is our #1 priority. Our facility provides for a clean, fresh air environment, and lots of attention and activity, essential to your pet’s good health. Our staff will be interacting with your pet throughout the day, talking, petting, feeding, cleaning and walking (dogs), grooming or playing. Optional play sessions provide even more attention. A daily record is kept of each pet’s habits during his stay and our qualified staff is on the alert for any potential problems. Each pet is checked daily for cleanliness, health and emotional well-being. Problems are brought to the manager’s attention for correction. Holiday Pet Hotel features the largest outdoor runs in San Diego. Even our small dogs enjoy spacious 5 X 20 feet runs. When they are not enjoying the fresh air and warm sunshine, our guests relax in comfortable, air-conditioned buildings. Playtime is taken seriously at Holiday Pet Hotel.  We feature over an acre in playground facilities. We have two beautiful, synthetic turf play yards. One with a pool and spray jets for hot days! and one with an activity center for the youngsters. Both are used for group play and individual play sessions.

Additional Costs and Charges:

For flea control, your dog or cat will be bathed if they have fleas, ticks, or other parasites at your expense. This is not an option.

Medications and Special Feedings are charged $2.00 & up daily. If you wish to bring your pet's food from home, if you place each feeding in a baggie and tag it, you will not be charged a special feeding fee.

We supply your pet with comfy, fresh, bedding and special plush beds are available at an extra charge.

We will accept puppies after their second set of DHLPP, and Bordatella vaccinations. If your pet is too young for Rabies, the requirement will be waived for the Rabies vaccine only.

We recommend vaccinating your dog at least two weeks prior to boarding.

Dog & Cat Grooming    A Holiday Pet Hotel Bath includes: Shampoo twice, conditioner, nail trimming, and ears cleaned (if necessary). There is an additional charge for long hair, matted coats, or difficult pets. Dogs staying 5 days or longer will receive a mandatory exit bath at a reduced price. Additional cost for matted dogs.

Special Care Ward: We know from experience that boarding is a little harder on the seniors of the pet world , convalescing pets and first time boarders of any age. For pets on several medications, or with certain health conditions, or behavior problems this may be mandatory. Therefore we have made special provisions for their needs:

Note: Pets that require special care or special handling will be charged an additional fee, commensurate with the type of care required. This care may be considered mandatory for boarding.

Important! Aggressive, difficult to handle pets, may not be accepted for boarding, if you have concerns, please discuss this prior to making your reservation.

Special Handling:   Some pets require special handling of some kind during boarding or grooming. If we find this out after accepting the pet for boarding you will most likely be charged a special handling fee.

Examples:

• The older pet that cannot be picked up or carried or must wear a harness to be walked.

• The timid or shy pet that requires a calm, slow hand in order to become familiar with kennel routines.

• The ‘fear-biter’, similar to above, but bites.

• A territorial dog or cat that won’t allow admittance to his/her room

• A cat or dog that requires a second handler in order to have grooming procedures done.
